Ivan's story is about how small actions grow into big dreams. As a schoolboy, he helped displaced people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions—collecting sweet gifts for children, writing motivational notes, and joining volunteer initiatives. Back then, he had no idea that this help would be the beginning of a long journey.

Responsible Citizens NGO has joined the Civil Society Collaboration Platform for the Best Interests of the Child — a space for cooperation between international, national and local organizations established to implement the Strategy to Ensure Every Child’s Right to Grow Up in a Family Environment in Ukraine (2024–2028).

Thanks to our partners — Humanitarian Nova Poshta — we have delivered another batch of support to psychosocial support centres in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

Special attention during the training was given to specialists’ self-regulation: how to cope with emotional exhaustion and avoid burnout when working daily with others’ pain. This experience is another step toward ensuring that assistance in communities is not just an act of goodwill but high-quality, professional support, even in the most challenging conditions.
