Over 100 organizations unite for child-centered change
Responsible Citizens NGO has joined the Civil Society Collaboration Platform for the Best Interests of the Child — a space for cooperation between international, national and local organizations established to implement the Strategy to Ensure Every Child’s Right to Grow Up in a Family Environment in Ukraine (2024–2028).
This is more than just a signature under the Declaration — it is our deep responsibility for the shared future of children. We share our experience, support our partners, and help strengthen the cooperation network.
Responsible Citizens NGO contributes to this mission through:
🔹 Strengthening family resilience — providing group and individual support, crisis counselling, parenting skills training, and emotional regulation techniques.
🔹 Developing foster care (patronat) — training potential foster parents and supporting them in establishing and maintaining patronat families.
🔹 Supporting foster and large foster families — offering psychosocial support, legal consultations, and guidance in interactions with public authorities.
🔹 Developing community-based social services — cooperating with local governments to implement family-oriented services and engage communities in child protection efforts.
The Platform offers:
✔️ coordinated efforts at all levels
✔️ sharing of effective practices
✔️ access to resources and training
✔️ partnerships based on trust and shared values
The Platform is implemented by the Coordination Center for Family Upbringing and Childcare Development in collaboration with UNICEF Ukraine, as part of the SPIRIT project, with financial support from the British Embassy Kyiv and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
