ActivityResponsible Citizens NGO is a public organization that has been actively working in eastern Ukraine for over 10 years. Today, our team of more than 250 members is based across Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
We support the development of local initiatives and projects that promote economic growth and social integration, fostering sustainable community development and improving the quality of life for all. -

Where We Work
We operate in some of the most dangerous areas near the front lines in eastern Ukraine. The NGO "Responsible Citizens" was founded to address the urgent need for rapid humanitarian assistance and to organize the evacuation of people from conflict zones during the 2014 hostilities.
Since 2022, with the onset of the full-scale invasion, our work has expanded to cover the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Leadership
of the Organization
The team at "Responsible Citizens" NGO consists of social and humanitarian experts and professionals. Each of us understands firsthand what it means to live in wartime, as our team brings together residents from Donetsk, Bakhmut, Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro. 85% of our team members are internally displaced persons (IDPs), many of whom have lost their homes in occupied territories. We are united by a shared pain and a deep commitment to supporting those who have become hostages to the current situation in our country.
