NGO Responsible Citizens, in partnership with the government of the Faroe Islands, has completed a project aimed at addressing educational gaps among primary and secondary school students in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Before the full-scale invasion, Victoria lived in Toretsk, Donetsk Oblast. She worked as a school psychologist and raised her son together with her husband. After 2014, the city lived alongside the war. Despite the constant danger, people tried to maintain their usual routines.

The project is implemented by Responsible Citizens NGO within the framework of a new partnership with JERU — Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine, a joint initiative of the international organizations Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide, with financial support from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

A reflection session was recently held in Kyiv for the team working on the implementation of the cash assistance project in Eastern Ukraine. This event brought together specialists from Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. The meeting was essential to analyze the results of the past year's work, discuss challenges, and achievements.

“Responsible Citizens” NGO launches a new phase of activity within the framework of systemic family support. August 19 is the day to honor those who stand by people in their most difficult times. For “Responsible Citizens” NGO, humanitarian aid is more than crisis response. It is ongoing work for dignity, hope, and recovery.
