“Responsible Citizens” launch the work of the education experts group
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” held the first meeting of the interregional working group of educators, bringing together 20 specialists from various regions of Ukraine. The initiative was a response to the challenges faced by the education sector in times of war and aimed at finding effective solutions to overcome educational losses.
“We have brought together specialists from different fields to look at the education issues more broadly and find practical mechanisms for addressing them. Our primary focus is on developing methodological recommendations and programs that will help recover lost learning, taking into account the needs of children with disabilities and children with special educational needs. Key priorities include the integration of formal and informal education, the implementation of effective career guidance solutions, and support for educators,” said Elena Byeloliptsyeva, the head of educational projects at the NGO “Responsible Citizens,” who led the working group.
During the first meeting, participants identified six key areas of focus and formed subgroups that will work on developing specific solutions. The work will continue in an online format.
The next step will be presenting the proposals at educational cluster meetings, submitting them to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and implementing them in educational institutions in affected regions.
