NGO “Responsible Citizens” participates in HORIZONTAL 5.0 Festival “Women’s Voice: From Idea to Action”
NGO “Responsible Citizens” participated in the HORIZONTAL 5.0 festival “Women’s Voice: From Idea to Action,” which became an important platform for female leaders of women’s organizations, humanitarian workers, activists, and all those supporting the development of the women’s movement. Participants gathered to discuss current social challenges, strengthen cooperation, and define ways to effectively support women in crisis conditions.
“The war has drastically changed the reality in which public and charitable organizations operate. Women, who became the driving force of humanitarian response from day one, now face new challenges: emotional burnout, lack of resources, and growing needs of affected communities. This conference was an opportunity to exchange experiences, seek common solutions, and strengthen interaction between organizations working in the fields of humanitarian aid, social protection, and human rights,” commented Olga Kosse, Chairwoman of the Board of NGO “Responsible Citizens.”
The event specifically addressed joint efforts to develop strategies for supporting women in difficult life circumstances, the formation of a community of active citizens ready for real actions for change. It once again confirmed that united efforts, professional dialogue, and networking are key to strengthening the impact of civil society and creating better conditions for women and vulnerable populations. Today, it is important not just to respond to humanitarian challenges, but to create sustainable solutions that will support the development of women’s initiatives, human rights protection, and the formation of a safe environment.
The event was organized by the “Pomahayem” Charity Foundation in partnership with the “MARTIN-club” NGO, with technical support from UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
