Assistance for War-Affected Communities in Kharkiv Region: Launch of a Joint Program with JERU Partners
Responsible Citizens NGO is launching a new project in partnership with JERU – a joint initiative of the international organizations Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide.
The project is funded by the UHF.
The initiative will be implemented in Kupiansk and Bohodukhiv rayons of Kharkiv Oblast and will run from September 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026.
The project will focus on two key areas:
- providing Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) to vulnerable groups to help them meet their most urgent basic needs;
- supporting communities through Group Cash Transfers (GCTs), enabling the implementation of small-scale local initiatives identified by residents themselves.
Cash assistance will be directed to residents of the Zolochivska (Bohodukhiv rayon), Vilkhuvatska, Velykoburlutska and Shevchenkivska (Kupiansk rayon) hromadas, which have been among the hardest hit by the war. Additional support will also be provided to civil society organizations and initiative groups working directly in these communities.
Information about opportunities to receive assistance under the project will be published on the official channels of Responsible Citizens NGO. We encourage residents of Kharkiv Oblast to follow our updates to stay informed about announcements relevant to their communities.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by Ukrainian and international partners aimed at strengthening the humanitarian response in Ukraine.
