Psychological support for families with children: the experience of Zaporizhzhia

The support is being provided within the framework of the UNICEF project “Protection Services for the Most Vulnerable Children and Parents (or Their Caregivers) in Communities of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts”, implemented by Responsible Citizens NGO with financial support from the United States Government and UNICEF.

In September, catch-up classes were launched in communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region to help students recover from learning losses.

The escalation of hostilities and the intensification of evacuation efforts are leading to a sharp increase in the need for humanitarian assistance. During such periods, the team of the NGO Responsible Citizens ensures the uninterrupted registration of people for humanitarian cash assistance at the transit centres in Pavlohrad and Zaporizhzhia.

The event became an important platform for discussing how every child can grow up in a caring family environment rather than under institutional care.

In the Sumy region, a series of intensives titled “Team Management and Motivation” was delivered for representatives of businesses operating in frontline areas. The training took place as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of communities and local businesses — where managerial decisions today are no less critical than technical resources.
