Project “Adaptive rapid humanitarian response to address the urgent needs of conflict-affected households in Ukraine”: Summary
From November 24, 2023, to March 31, 2024, the NGO “Responsible Citizens,” together with World Vision International and Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH), implemented the project in the territories of Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
The project was carried out in the Kharkiv, Zmiiv, Slobozhanske, Lozova, Pervomaiske, Krasnohrad, Bohodukhiv, and Valky communities in the Kharkiv region, as well as in the Dnipro community in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the Zaporizhzhia community in the Zaporizhzhia region, and in the Dobropillia, Pokrovsk, Bilozerske, Novodonetsk, and Bilytske communities in Donetsk.
Types of Assistance:
The project had many components and activities.
- Support for collective living facilities with hygiene kits and fuel pellets. Coverage included four regions: Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia.
- Kharkiv – 15 collective living facilities – 713 beneficiaries
- Dnipropetrovsk – 2 collective living facilities – 275 beneficiaries
- Zaporizhzhia – 2 collective living facilities – 318 beneficiaries
- Donetsk – 9 collective living facilities – 179 beneficiaries
- Distribution of winter kits in the Donetsk region. A total of 270 individual kits were issued, which included blankets along with thermoses, 250 heaters (one heater per household), 100 portable gas stoves, and 6 spare gas cylinders for each household (one per household). A total of 1,485 beneficiaries received assistance.
