The NGO ‘Responsible Citizens’ is launching a new phase of activities in the Sumy region
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” is launching a new phase of work in Sumska Oblast in partnership with JERU (Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine), a joint initiative of the international organizations Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide.
This means mobile teams of psychologists and facilitators will travel directly to communities where people are living under the stress of war and often lack access to specialists. Residents of communities in need will have access to individual consultations as well as group sessions for both adults and children. The primary goal is to help people regain their strength, manage anxiety, and find inner resilience.
As part of this project, support will be provided to residents of the Hruns’ka Hromada (settlements of Hrun and Rybal’s’ke) and the Verkhnyosyrovats’ka Hromada (settlements of Velykyi Bobryk and Velyka Syrovatka). The assistance will include raising awareness about mental health, psychosocial support, and protection, as well as offering group or individual psychological support sessions for adults and children.
The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
All updates about the mobile teams’ schedules will be shared on the official pages of the NGO “Responsible Citizens.” Stay tuned to know when support will be available in your community. For more information, you can contact our hotline at: +38 (066) 567 00 16.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by Ukrainian and international partners to ensure that people in frontline regions know they are not facing their challenges alone.
