We have completed another stage of the project to provide multi-purpose cash assistance to those affected by the war
The NGO “Responsible Citizens,” in partnership with Mercy Corps and with funding from the UK government, has successfully completed another stage of the project aimed at supporting people affected by the war.
This initiative has been a crucial step in meeting basic needs and restoring dignity for thousands of residents of eastern Ukraine whose lives have been devastated by the conflict.
From April to July 2025, assistance was provided to:
- 3,724 individuals from 1,849 households;
- among them, 462 children and over 1,900 women;
- 19.4% of recipients are internally displaced persons (IDPs). The assistance was delivered to communities in Donetsk Oblast, including Dobropillia, Mykolaivka, Lyman, Kryvorizhzhia, Druzhkivka, and Kramatorsk. Among the recipients are people who were forced to leave their homes, rent accommodations, or temporarily reside with relatives or friends. A significant portion of them lost their homes due to complete or partial destruction caused by hostilities.
“When war destroys not only homes but also hope, we give people the opportunity to prioritize their needs—whether it’s food, medicine, or restoring basic living conditions. This support embodies the solidarity of our efforts with international partners and our belief that people deserve the chance to rebuild their future,” said Olga Kosse, Head of the Board of the NGO “Responsible Citizens.”
Thanks to our joint efforts with Mercy Corps, we not only provide assistance but also contribute to strengthening community resilience and laying the groundwork for their recovery during these challenging times. Our partnership continues. Stay updated through our official communication channels.
