Unified Support Standards: Our Team’s Participation in the MHPSS Development Training
The team of the NGO “Responsible Citizens” joined a training organized by UNICEF Ukraine and aimed at strengthening organizations working in the field of psychosocial support for children and families.
The meeting became a collaborative space for developing unified approaches to delivering quality MHPSS services, exchanging practical experience, and finding solutions that make support more accessible and coordinated across different communities.
During the training, participants deepened their understanding of standards and the logic of a person’s pathway within the support system. They discussed impact assessment methods and tools that make it possible to track real changes rather than only processes. Special attention was given to individual and group work, as well as to community-based activities, where the first line of support often plays a decisive role in the emotional stabilization of children and adults.
An important part of the program focused on strengthening coordination between partners: creating a shared interaction map helped clearly define roles, referral pathways, and communication channels. This is critical for ensuring continuity of support, especially in regions living under constant pressure from the war.
During the session, we also outlined further areas for team development — taking into account local contexts, community needs, and the expertise of our specialists who work daily with families in difficult circumstances.
