Experts from Responsible Citizens NGO Joined a Workshop on Group Cash Transfers and Community Initiatives in Kyiv
The event was organized by the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations and the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with DCA, JERU – Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine, ZOA, and the Cash Working Group (CWG). The programme covered key aspects of GCT implementation: from targeting and application screening to accountability, risk management, and impact assessment.
Cash Officer Olha Bieliaieva and Project Manager Oksana Ostapchuk represented the organization at the workshop.
Over the past three years, Responsible Citizens NGO has continuously implemented cash assistance programmes in front-line communities, combining individual household support, multipurpose cash assistance, and group cash transfers for local initiatives. This work has allowed the team to build strong practical expertise and develop their own approaches to cash programme implementation.
“Responsible Citizens NGO is currently implementing a group cash transfer project aimed at supporting local initiatives. For us, participating in workshops like this is an opportunity to compare our experience with partner practices and strengthen the quality of programmes we implement in communities,” said Oksana Ostapchuk, Project Manager.
Group cash transfers help communities independently identify priorities and implement solutions that meet their needs.
