The team of Responsible Citizens NGO consistently develops partnerships and collaboration in frontline regions
Head of the board of Responsible Citizens NGO, Olga Kosse, conducted a monitoring visit to Kharkiv region to assess community needs together with local partners, including those communities hosting internally displaced persons, and to determine further priorities for supporting people.
During this trip, meetings were held with representatives of the Malynivska community, where the team visited a Child-Friendly Space — a safe place where children and parents receive psychological support, interact, and rebuild a sense of stability and trust. In partnership with UNICEF Ukraine, Responsible Citizens NGO organized a network of 11 such Spaces in Kharkiv region.
Leaders of the Malynivska community emphasized that such initiatives become points of support for the community, strengthening its long-term resilience.
Separately, a working meeting was held with the Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv, Yuriy Shparoga. The discussion focused on exploring new formats for strategic partnership, current challenges faced by families with children in Kharkiv, and opportunities to support displaced persons fleeing the conflict.
“We view humanitarian assistance not only as crisis response, but also as an investment in community development and resilience. That is why it is critically important for us to strengthen partnerships at the local level — so that assistance becomes systemic, and recovery efforts a shared responsibility,” — said Olga Kosse, Head of the board of Responsible Citizens NGO.
Responsible Citizens NGO continues to work hand in hand with communities in Kharkiv region, supporting people who are rebuilding their lives despite the war. Our priority is to strengthen the capacity of local communities to overcome challenges, develop, and provide decent conditions for all residents who are today shaping Ukraine’s new resilience.
