Project “Comprehensive Multi-Sectoral Assistance for Vulnerable Families in Kharkiv Region”
The project is implemented with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, the Charitable Foundation “Unity for the Future,” the non-governmental organization “Responsible Citizens,” and the charitable organization “Charitable Foundation ‘Development and Social Justice of Ukraine’.”
We work in the communities of Kharkiv Region: Rohanska, Balakliiska, Savynska, Kolomatska, and Zmiivska.
The goal of our work is to strengthen social cohesion within communities and to ensure quality social support for vulnerable families with children who have low income, using case management methodology.
Families receiving support include those:
- who are facing difficult life circumstances;
- who are internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- who are raising children with developmental disorders and/or disabilities;
- where there is a risk of a child being placed into residential care.
How the mobile team works:
- We visit families at their place of residence with a social worker and a psychologist, and, if needed, a lawyer or a speech therapist, and conduct meetings with families.
- Together with the family, we identify needs, strengths, and resources.
- We draw up an individual support plan with clear steps, timelines, and responsibilities.
- We assist with restoring or obtaining documents, social payments and benefits, protecting children’s rights, as well as in cases of domestic violence.
- If necessary, we involve other services: we contact service providers, help register for services, and provide accompaniment.
- We explain how to cope with stress and provide simple self-help tools.
- We work in the best interests of the child; in case of threats, we organize safe response.
- We inform how to safely report cases of sexual exploitation or abuse and guarantee confidential response to each report.
We ensure the protection of personal data and have transparent channels for feedback and complaints with clear response deadlines.
The service is free of charge, voluntary, and confidential. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service and guarantee its protection.
