Project: “Building the Future”
On December 1, 2023, we launched our joint project with World Vision International, which lasted until May 31, 2024, covering Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
As part of this partnership program, beneficiaries had the opportunity to acquire additional skills, take English language courses, and participate in soft skills and business skills trainings, as well as protection training. These educational programs were designed for both youth and adults.
Number of people covered by the project in different areas:
- English language courses (3-month duration) – 90 adults and 180 children and youth aged 14-24 years.
- Soft skills training, where the primary beneficiaries were young people. They benefited from training by developing essential leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. A total of 3,600 teenagers and young adults, and 400 adults, participated.
- Business skills training – 3,600 teenagers and young adults, and 400 adults.
- Acquiring additional skills to improve employment opportunities (beauty courses such as manicure technician, eyebrow and eyelash specialists, hairdressers; SMM specialist, accountant, etc.). A total of 270 women benefited.
- Protection training (rules for handling life-threatening situations) – attended by 300 adults and 300 teenagers.
The project covered residents of Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Pokrovsk, Novodonetsk, Dobropillia, Myrnohrad communities in Donetsk Oblast; Zaporizhzhia and Kushuhum communities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Kharkiv, Kamianske, Mahdalynivka, Lychky in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
