New Year Gifts for Children from the Frontline Areas
December was a very busy month, and we took a bit longer than expected to finalize the list of gifts for our beneficiaries from the frontline zones for the New Year and Christmas.
We selected the most needy – there are only 19 of them. Every day, we will share a story about these children and their families so that you can get to know them better and understand which child you would like to delight this New Year. I admit that we spent two weeks working on this list of 19 children! Why did it take so long?
These are very special children. Sometimes, it was hard for us to understand what they dream of, as some answered our questions about wishes and gifts by saying they wanted firewood/coal for heating their home, a nebulizer, or winter clothing (this at ages 5-7). Our first list of wishes resembled a regular request for humanitarian aid. However, over time, the children began to share their dreams with us. “If only the house were warm, and if only my mom were healthy, I would want…”
We understand that many of the gifts are quite expensive, but these are the cherished wishes of children that their parents cannot fulfill. We want to give these children a dream, to provide them with something they never expect and are shy to ask their parents for.
Fulfilling a child’s New Year wish is very simple:
1) Choose a child and write down your contact information.
2) Send a personal message to our coordinator, Ulyana Yehorova. She will send you all the necessary details and explain how you can most easily fulfill the child’s dream.
Of course, we would love for you to choose and send the gift to the child yourself, but we understand that not everyone has the opportunity to do so. Therefore, we have decided to accept monetary transfers and order gifts ourselves.
We sincerely hope that you will become true magicians for our little friends this New Year!

As of December 28, 2016
Friends, a huge THANK YOU to everyone for participating and helping fulfill children’s New Year wishes. You are real magicians!
In just 4 days, we managed to fulfill not only the 19 requested gifts but also to bring joy to 9 other children. We have added them to the list so you can see which child your donations have supported. Additionally, a status column has been added, indicating whether the gift is “confirmed” (we have already received the monetary transfer or purchased the gift) or is in the process of delivery.
Thank you for supporting us and our beneficiaries. Thank you for your inspiration and belief in goodness. Soon, there will be happy photos with our little friends to whom you have given a New Year dream. ❤️
