Developing partnerships to support families with children
“Responsible Citizens” NGO is launching cooperation with the Zmiiv community in Kharkiv region to strengthen assistance for families facing difficult life circumstances — both local residents and internally displaced families.
During the meeting at the Zmiiv City Council, our team, together with representatives of the local authorities, the Children’s Service and the Social Services Center, discussed joint steps to enhance social support in the community.
“Responsible Citizens” NGO is implementing a multisectoral support project in the region with the backing of international partners. The initiative includes targeted assistance for families with children experiencing difficult life circumstances, as well as the development of sustainable cooperation mechanisms between civil society organizations and local social protection structures.
“By working together with the community, we can not only respond to needs but also develop systemic solutions that help families recover, find resources, and build their future. Sustainable change begins with trust and cooperation,” noted Olena Khvatynets, project coordinator of “Responsible Citizens” NGO in the Kharkiv region.
The Zmiiv City Council emphasized that they are open to partnerships that contribute to the development of social services and strengthening of the community. Joint efforts not only address urgent needs but also create conditions for long-term positive change.
