Responsible Citizens Took Part in the Final Roundtable of the LIVES Programme
Representatives of the public organization Responsible Citizens took part in a roundtable meeting of the LIVES programme. The meeting brought together partner organizations to review the results of four years of cooperation and to define further priorities ahead of the programme’s final stage.
Within the framework of the LIVES programme, our team implemented humanitarian initiatives in frontline communities in eastern Ukraine. The activities covered settlements located near the line of contact, as well as transit centres where people received assistance immediately after evacuation from dangerous areas.
During this time, thousands of people received support. According to programme statistics, the assistance reached families who were forced to leave their homes and needed access to healthcare, restoration of basic living conditions, and adaptation in new communities. For many, this support became an important step toward stabilization after forced displacement and the losses they had experienced.
The achieved results became possible thanks to the coordinated work of the team and strong partnerships between organizations operating in a complex humanitarian context. At the same time, participation in the programme contributed to the institutional development of Responsible Citizens by strengthening expertise, improving approaches to humanitarian assistance, and enhancing operational capacity.
The roundtable in Lviv became not only an opportunity to summarize achievements but also a platform for professional dialogue. Participants analyzed broader humanitarian trends, the challenges faced by organizations working in frontline regions, and discussed possible solutions and approaches to further support people who continue to live in conditions of war.
As the LIVES project approaches completion, partners are also laying the groundwork for the next stage of cooperation — building on accumulated experience, strengthened partnerships, and a shared responsibility to support communities that need it most.
