Olena Beloliptseva
Education has always been a part of me, in every moment. My school and university years were filled with noise, laughter, conferences, competitions, summer camps, concerts, and performances. Today, the children and youth of Ukraine have been stripped of those opportunities. But that doesn’t eliminate their needs, does it? This is something all educators deeply understand, as they face an overwhelming demand to create opportunities for children’s development. When I ask myself, "Can I make a difference, support, or help the educational sector?" my answer is clear: "I can definitely stand by them."
At "Responsible Citizens," I bring 12 years of experience as a trainer, supervisor, and coordinator with various organizations. I’ve had the chance to work on projects with IOM, UNICEF, Save the Children, Childhood, UBC, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
My entire life is deeply intertwined with education. I hold a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, an academic title of Associate Professor in Social Work at Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy, and I am the author of over 40 scientific publications. I also serve as an expert for the Ministry of Education and Science on anti-discrimination assessments of educational programs, and for more than 10 years, I coordinated the Center for Gender Education. In 2023, I received recognition from the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, for my contributions to the development of science and education in the Sloboda region. I also hold a certificate from the Ministry of Social Policy for training future foster parents, caregivers, and adoptive parents.
Throughout my career, I’ve become convinced that constant growth and enlightenment are key to building a healthy society. I’ve found true allies in this belief at "Responsible Citizens." Moreover, we are all genuinely motivated by simple words of gratitude from those we help. That’s the most valuable fuel that keeps us moving forward.
