Strategy for 2024-2028: developing a regional plan for the protection of children’s rights
Alla Maslakhova, Regional Coordinator of the NGO “Responsible Citizens” in the Dnipropetrovsk region, participated in an interdepartmental meeting dedicated to the implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring Every Child’s Right to Grow Up in a Family Environment for 2024-2028. The event brought together representatives from government agencies, NGOs, and international partners to discuss the key directions of the strategy, regional challenges, and the initial steps in developing a regional plan.
The participants focused on finding solutions to support children in crisis situations, reforming institutional care, and providing necessary assistance for children with disabilities. The exchange of experiences between different organizations helped identify vulnerable areas and develop effective mechanisms to address them.
“This meeting once again proved that the path to systemic change lies through dialogue and partnership. We not only outlined the first steps in implementing the Strategy, but also saw how important it is to listen to each other, recognize weaknesses, and work together to eliminate them,” commented Alla Maslakhova, Regional Coordinator of the NGO “Responsible Citizens.”
The event was organized by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Save the Children, Hope and Homes for Children, and the Coordination Center for Family Care and Education Development.
