Registration for Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance Completed in Sumy Region
Responsible Citizens NGO has completed the registration of households to receive multi-purpose cash assistance in Sumy region.
The program is aimed at supporting people affected by the war and helps them cover their basic needs — payment for housing, purchase of food, medicines, and other essential expenses.
Registration took place in two stages: first, community residents filled out a pre-screening questionnaire, and those who met the eligibility criteria underwent in-person registration to confirm their data.
The implementation of the project was carried out in cooperation with local authorities, who contributed to coordinating activities and informing the population.
As part of the program, 1,193 households — more than 2,500 people from the villages of Rybal’ske, Hrun, Vyazove, and Kuzemyn were registered.
Among the participants are large families, single parents, households with persons with disabilities, families with pregnant women or infants, and elderly people.
Some of the registered households have already received payments — 10,800 UAH per each household member.
The project is implemented by Responsible Citizens NGO within the framework of a new partnership with JERU — Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine, a joint initiative of the international organizations Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide, with financial support from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Together with partners and local communities, we continue our systematic efforts to ensure that people affected by the war can restore their basic sense of safety and stability.
