Children’s art contest “My Dreams About the Future”
From July 9 to August 9, 2023, the NGO “Responsible Citizens” held a creative contest for children aged 9 to 19. Participants included residents of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Our goal was to support the creative talents of children in eastern Ukraine and provide new opportunities for them to express themselves.
In this endeavor, we were supported by our international partners – the non-governmental organizations CARE Deutschland e.V. and Ukrainisches Selbsfhilfezentrum.
As a result, we received over 300 works, each of them unique and inspiring. From vibrant drawings to touching poems – all reflected the dreams and hopes of the young generation.
Selecting the winners and finalists was not easy. However, we chose 20 finalists, among whom we announced five deserving winners who received the grand prize – a laptop.
The conditions were clear, but every work, every word in the motivational letters, and every video reflected the soul and creative potential of their authors. We are proud that this contest became not only a competition but also a platform for expressing ideas, dreams, and aspirations.
Through the contest, we once again witnessed the talent of children and their ability to believe in a better future, even in difficult circumstances. It became a vivid example of how important it is to believe in the future and inspire young dreamers to achieve great things.
For our organization, this was an incredible experience, and we thank each participant for being part of it.
After the contest, we continued to receive letters of gratitude from participants, parents, teachers, and all those involved for another month. For us, this is the highest recognition and an undeniable motivation to continue working diligently.
