Teenagers in Dnipropetrovsk Region Learn to Set Goals and Plan for the Future

As part of a project implemented by the Responsible Citizens NGO in partnership with UNICEF Ukraine, children and teenagers learned to better understand their aspirations and take the first steps towards achieving them.

A series of sessions under the “Building a Positive Life Perspective” programme took place at Child-Friendly Spaces in Dnipropetrovsk region. During the sessions, participants explored their strengths, discussed what they wanted to achieve in the future, and learned to set goals and plan the steps needed to reach them.

The teenagers took part in practical exercises, learned to weigh different options when making decisions, and explored ways to overcome challenges they might encounter along the way.

Group discussions gave them an opportunity to hear different perspectives, exchange ideas and look at familiar situations from a different angle. In a safe and supportive environment, everyone could share their ideas and reflect on what truly matters to them.

These sessions help teenagers better understand themselves, recognise their aspirations and plan for the future with greater confidence.

The Child-Friendly Spaces operate as part of the project “Protection Services for the Most Vulnerable Children and Parents (or Caregivers) in Communities across Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions.” The project is implemented by the Responsible Citizens NGO with financial support from the United States Government and UNICEF.
