NGO “Responsible Citizens” launches the implementation of the project “Expanding Access to Quality Education and Child Protection Services for Conflict-Affected Children and Their Families”
NGO “Responsible Citizens” launches the implementation of the project “Expanding Access to Quality Education and Child Protection Services for Conflict-Affected Children and Their Families”, which is being implemented in partnership with Save the Children and funded by the European Union.
Over the next year, we will work in the Berestyn, Kehychivka, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Liubotyn communities of Kharkiv Oblast to support children and families whose lives have been changed by the war.
Within the project, we will:
- help children catch up on learning losses;
- strengthen the professional skills of teachers, particularly in the implementation of effective educational loss recovery programmes and child protection issues;
- provide psychosocial support through Child-Friendly Spaces and mobile teams;
- implement programmes on child protection, resilience building and positive parenting;
- work together with families and communities so that every child feels safe and has the opportunity to learn and develop.
Overall, the project will reach more than 2,000 children, parents, teachers and other participants in the educational process.
Children have the right to a safe childhood and education even during war, therefore we continue to work together with communities to ensure that these opportunities are accessible to every child.
This project is funded by the European Union. However, the views and opinions expressed are those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union. The European Union cannot be held responsible for them.
