Youth movement of Donetsk region: a strategic session for regional recovery
A member of the Regional Youth Council from the NGO “Responsible Citizens” took part in the strategic session of the Youth Council under the Donetsk Regional State Administration. This event brought together active young individuals who worked on developing new directions for the council’s activities and identified priorities for the region’s recovery and development.
The session was a significant step toward strengthening the youth movement in Donetsk Region. Participants designed action plans, set short-term and long-term goals, and outlined opportunities for collaboration with key stakeholders. All these efforts aim to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of future initiatives.
“When young people have the opportunity to participate in such events, it’s not just about planning or discussions. It’s about how each of us can influence real change. We’re not just dreaming about the future of Donetsk Region, we’re working to make it a reality. These sessions inspire confidence in our own abilities and in the fact that together we can achieve more,” says Kristina Vasylyuk, a member of the Youth Council.
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” supports youth initiatives at various levels aimed at rebuilding the region and integrating young people into the processes of addressing pressing issues. In partnership with international organizations such as UNICEF, favorable conditions are created to foster youth potential, which is critically important for the region’s future.
The youth of Donetsk Region today is a driving force. Their energy, determination, and readiness to act are the foundation of the changes bringing us closer to recovery and prosperity.
The UNICEF program in Donetsk Region is implemented by the NGO “Zakhody” in partnership with the NGO “Kraina Rozvytku” with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
