“We appreciate that the financial assistance came just 10 days after the application,” says Yulia Limar, a resident of Kehychivka in the Kharkiv region.
Kehychivka is a small village in the Kharkiv region with nearly 5,000 residents. It is located approximately 2 hours by car from both Kharkiv and Poltava. This is where Yulia Limar lives with her elderly mother and teenage daughter. Her daughter requires regular medical check-ups, special medications, and ongoing health treatments. The last few years have been especially difficult for the family, as Yulia’s daughter needs constant care, and the war has completely changed the conditions and opportunities, even for remote work.
Yulia found the announcement about the application for assistance online by chance and immediately decided to fill out the form.
“Money is always needed, but when I saw the announcement about the application collection, it was especially urgent. I was amazed at how quickly my application and documents were reviewed. I was expecting to wait for months, but just 10 days later, the money arrived. Of course, this money will be spent on health; we are planning to go to Kharkiv again for treatment. My daughter has a disability, so we are constantly under medical supervision and travel to Kharkiv for healthcare. I am immensely grateful that, in such a difficult time, I was able to quickly find the funds and receive this assistance! Truly, it’s a real miracle for our family,” says Yulia Limar from Kehychivka.
The financial assistance is provided as part of the project “Provision of Multi-Sectoral Humanitarian Assistance to Conflict-Affected Populations in Ukraine,” BHA, implemented by the NGO “Responsible Citizens” in partnership with World Vision International.
This initiative is made possible with the support of USAID – US Agency for International Development, Acted, and the #UkraineResponseConsortium.
