UNICEF delegation visited a child-friendly space in Zaporizhzhia
A UNICEF delegation led by Deputy Representative Shameza Abdulla visited a child-friendly space in Zaporizhzhia.
Together with her team, Ms. Shamiza learned about the initiatives implemented by the “Responsible Citizens” NGO with UNICEF support — spaces where children can once again feel trust and safety.
During the meeting, we talked about how important it is for every child to have an environment where they are heard, supported, and accepted. Where parents are not left alone with challenges, and children of all ages have opportunities to communicate with peers and make new friends.
Our team has been working on this for several years now — in Zaporizhzhia and communities throughout the region.
For residents of remote areas, our mobile psychosocial support teams provide assistance where access to specialists remains limited.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the UNICEF Ukraine project “Strengthening community capacity to provide essential protection and resilience services in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions”, implemented by the “Responsible Citizens” NGO with the support of the Government of the United States of America.
We are grateful to our partners for their trust and support. Together, we create places where childhood is protected and care is felt every day.
