Strengthening Communities and Supporting Children in Zaporizhzhia Region
NGO Responsible Citizens, in partnership with UNICEF and with the support of the U.S. Government, is implementing the project “Strengthening Community Capacity to Provide Core Protection and Resilience Services in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Regions”.
In the first six months of 2025, we created opportunities in Zaporizhzhia region for children and parents to receive quality support close to home:
- 5,425 individual consultations for children and adults in need of assistance
- 7,555 project participants engaged in various activities
- 2,315 group events for children, adolescents, and parents — from art therapy to psychological support training
- 3 child-friendly spaces in operation
- mobile psychosocial support teams reaching communities in remote areas
Behind these numbers are the stories of children regaining a sense of joy, parents finding answers to their questions, and communities growing stronger even in extremely challenging conditions.
We believe that every child deserves care, support, and the opportunity to grow in a safe environment.
