Providing Support to Evacuated People at the Transit Center in Lozova
NGO Responsible Citizens, in partnership with Mercy Corps and with financial support from the UK Government, continues its work in transit centers for internally displaced people (IDPs).
Recently, we started operating in the city of Lozova — an important logistical hub at the crossroads of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. The center was opened to ease the load on the hub in Pavlohrad, where our team is also providing support. The number of people passing through these points is constantly growing, so we are strengthening our presence to meet the need.
As part of the project, cash assistance is provided — 10,800 UAH per person.
A mandatory condition is prior registration of departure in the community from which the evacuation took place.
The support is intended for households that lost their homes or were forced to relocate from areas near active hostilities or from temporarily occupied territories. Priority is given to vulnerable groups: families with children, people with disabilities, elderly people, pregnant women, single parents, and those left without stable income.
Our work in transit centers is real help for people who are forced to seek a safer place for themselves and their loved ones.
