Project “Local, Inclusive and Multisectoral Emergency Assistance to War-Affected Populations in Ukraine” in Partnership with Mercy Corps
Starting from April 1, 2025, the NGO Responsible Citizens, in partnership with Mercy Corps and with financial support from the Government of the United Kingdom, is implementing a humanitarian response project in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
The project targets the most affected population groups in need of support. Its goal is to address the urgent needs of diverse vulnerable communities by providing regular or rapid multi-purpose cash assistance.
Within the framework of this project, 3,000 individuals (including 450 internally displaced persons) will receive multi-purpose cash assistance through either scheduled registration or rapid response mechanisms.
The following categories of households are eligible for assistance:
- Households located 16–30 km from areas of active hostilities.
- Households displaced within the last 30 days from areas situated 15–30 km from active combat zones or from temporarily occupied territories.
- Households located within 15 km of active hostilities.
- Households whose habitual residence has become uninhabitable due to war-related events within the past 30 days.
- Households displaced for 31–180 days from areas 0–30 km from active combat zones or from temporarily occupied territories.
- Households with a total monthly income of less than UAH 6,318 per person.
The amount of assistance provided under this project is UAH 3,600 per month per household member. The payment is issued as a one-time transfer of UAH 10,800 per person.
For the period from April to July 2025, assistance was provided to:
- 3,724 individuals from 1,849 households;
- among them, 462 children and over 1,900 women;
- 19.4% of the recipients were internally displaced persons.
- Assistance was provided to communities in the Donetsk region, including Dobropilska, Mykolaivska, Lymanska, Kryvorizka, Druzhkivska, and Kramatorska.
The project continued until July 31, 2025.
