Mine risk awareness
Ukraine ranks among the top five most heavily mined countries in the world. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the total mined area covers 21,000 square kilometers.
Between 2014 and March 31, 2020, there have been 1,091 civilian casualties due to mine incidents and explosive remnants of war—329 fatalities and 762 injuries (UN OHCHR report, April 7, 2020).
Staff members from Responsible Citizens have undergone training organized by the Danish Demining Group to conduct mine risk briefings for populations living near mined areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
These awareness sessions targeted both children aged 5 to 18 and adults.
Our organization held 96 lectures, reaching 6,248 people. This includes high-risk groups such as children, municipal workers, farmers, and residents of the most heavily mined areas.
If you need information on mine risk awareness, please contact our hotline at 0665670016 or send a request via email to zajavki.ograjdane@gmail.com.
Our specialists are ready to provide awareness sessions for your organization or group.
