New wave of rapid cash assistance in the frontline area
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” team, in partnership with World Vision, has successfully launched a new direction of Rapid Cash financial aid in Druzhkivka and Rayske. Since mid-June, over 100 people severely affected by shelling have been registered.
Rapid Cash is a crucial financial assistance program aimed at supporting those living along the frontlines who are constantly under rocket and artillery fire. This program provides swift and effective aid in critical moments.
How Do We Operate?
• Rapid Response: Registration of affected individuals begins within 3 working days after an emergency event.
• Eligibility: Assistance is provided to those whose homes were damaged no later than 30 days ago.
• Coordinated Efforts: Together with our partners in the Cash Working Group, UN OCHA, and World Vision, we closely coordinate our actions with local authorities to effectively support beneficiaries. This initiative is made possible with the support of USAID – US Agency for International Development, Acted, and the #UkrainianResponseConsortium.
• Aid to Victims: Each household will receive a one-time cash assistance for 3 months for all family members, provided they have not received aid from other organizations in the past three months.
Why is Rapid Cash Important?
For those living under constant threat of shelling, this assistance is vital. It helps cover basic needs, provides financial stability, and allows for quicker recovery after emergencies. Our goal is to ensure that every affected person receives support in the shortest possible time.
Registration Process The form for this type of assistance is not available online. We work directly with local authorities to ensure accurate and timely registration of those in need.
