New Partnership to Strengthen Family Support in Kharkiv Region

The NGO "Responsible Citizens" participated in the annual scientific and educational event "Science Unites," held at the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University on the initiative of the Municipal Institution "Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers" of the Kryvyi Rih City Council.

This is a story about fulfilling every child’s right to protection, development, and support — and about how the team of “Responsible Citizens,” together with UNICEF Ukraine, makes these rights a reality every day for families who have experienced war.

On May 23, the Responsible Citizens team took part in the 3rd Annual International Conference “Ukrainian Leadership in Aid,” organized by the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations and international partners.

At a critical moment, a family from Donetsk region made a difficult but necessary decision — to evacuate. This coincided with the opportunity to join the program “Local, inclusive and multi-sectoral emergency assistance for war-affected populations in Ukraine,” implemented by NGO Responsible Citizens in partnership with Mercy Corps and with funding from the UK Government.

The NGO “Responsible Citizens” team successfully implemented this project across four regions in Eastern Ukraine

We tell the stories of families who go through a difficult journey from anxiety to recovery — and of the “Responsible Citizens” team, which, together with partners, helps ensure the realization of children’s rights where it is needed most.

Payments are coming to an end for residents of Sumy Oblast who registered for multi-purpose cash assistance in the autumn. This support was organized by the NGO Responsible Citizens in partnership with JERU (a joint initiative of the international organizations Welthungerhilfe and Concern Worldwide) and funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany (AA).

NGO Responsible Citizens, together with UNICEF Ukraine, continues to expand its support for specialists working in frontline communities. Our focus is on developing skills that enable professionals to effectively support young people in challenging conditions.
