New Partnership to Strengthen Family Support in Kharkiv Region

In Zaporizhzhia, specialists from the “Responsible Citizens” NGO took part in a training on modern methods of corrective and developmental work, which helped psychologists, speech therapists and special education specialists expand their practical tools for working with children with special educational needs. The training was held with the support of Save the Children and with the assistance of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Resource Centre for Inclusive Education Support.

“Responsible Citizens” NGO is launching cooperation with the Zmiiv community in Kharkiv region to strengthen assistance for families facing difficult life circumstances — both local residents and internally displaced families.

The NGO Responsible Citizens, together with our partners organized the implementation of a project to provide financial assistance to those most affected by the war.

Ivan's story is about how small actions grow into big dreams. As a schoolboy, he helped displaced people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions—collecting sweet gifts for children, writing motivational notes, and joining volunteer initiatives. Back then, he had no idea that this help would be the beginning of a long journey.

Participants gathered to discuss current social challenges, strengthen cooperation, and define ways to effectively support women in crisis conditions.

Since last year, the NGO "Responsible Citizens" has been working alongside the NGO "Dobrodiya" to organize joint activities, ensuring that every child in Zaporizhzhia has a safe space for creativity, psychological support, and communication.

In eastern Ukraine, especially in frontline areas of Donetsk region, shelling is intensifying and civilian infrastructure is being heavily damaged. Under these conditions, mobile teams from the NGO Responsible Citizens are working directly in affected communities, offering comprehensive support to those who need it most.
