Responsible Citizens team completes safety training on short-range drones

Psychosocial support is provided as part of UNICEF’s project “Strengthening Community Capacity to Provide Core Protection and Resilience Services in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Regions,” implemented by Responsible Citizens NGO with support from the Government of the United States of America.

NGO Responsible Citizens held a facilitated session to develop the operational plan for its new Strategy for 2025–2027.

Today, it’s not only about covering basic needs. It’s about creating spaces of care — where resilience, trust, and hope can grow.

This day is an opportunity to thank those who support people in difficult life circumstances every single day. Social workers step in when all other resources are exhausted — when a person has lost their home, loved ones, job, or sense of safety.

Despite constant shelling threats and a volatile security situation, eight mobile psychosocial support teams in Donetsk region provide daily assistance to children and their families. Specialists in psychology, speech therapy, and social work operate in communities where access to basic services is limited or entirely absent.

Regional Coordinator Alla Maslakhova and specialists from the NGO Responsible Citizens in Zaporizhzhia region took part in a UNICEF Ukraine workshop dedicated to the implementation of the Guiding Principles for the Reintegration Service Package within the Alternative Care and Return and Reintegration programs.

A reflection session was recently held in Kyiv for the team working on the implementation of the cash assistance project in Eastern Ukraine. This event brought together specialists from Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. The meeting was essential to analyze the results of the past year's work, discuss challenges, and achievements.

The Head of the Board of NGO “Responsible Citizens,” Olga Kosse, took part in the “Generation of Hope: a future that is already growing” conference dedicated to the launch of the Gen.Hope Center of Leading Practices in child and adolescent mental health.
