Registration for Cash Assistance Continues in Pavlohrad and Zaporizhzhia
The escalation of hostilities and the intensification of evacuation efforts are leading to a sharp increase in the need for humanitarian assistance. During such periods, the team of the NGO Responsible Citizens ensures the uninterrupted registration of people for humanitarian cash assistance at the transit centres in Pavlohrad and Zaporizhzhia.
During one of the most recent waves of evacuation, the number of people seeking assistance at the transit centres in Pavlohrad and Zaporizhzhia doubled. Throughout this period, the Responsible Citizens team registered more than 100 people every day for humanitarian cash assistance.
Registration is carried out as part of the project Integrated Community Services for Safer Childhoods and Household Stability, implemented in partnership with the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) and with the support of the Government of the United States of America.
Humanitarian cash assistance is provided in accordance with established vulnerability criteria. The assistance amounts to UAH 12,300 per person, enabling people to meet their most urgent needs independently following evacuation.
The Responsible Citizens team continuously adapts its work to changes in the humanitarian situation, ensuring uninterrupted registration and continued access to assistance even during periods of a sharp increase in the number of evacuees.
This publication and the assistance described herein were made possible through the generous support of the Government of the United States of America in cooperation with the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH). The contents are the responsibility of the NGO Responsible Citizens and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Government.
