Residents of frontline communities in Kharkiv Oblast received more than UAH 4 million in assistance
The implementation of the short-term project “Multi-sectoral humanitarian response and support for essential services in hard-to-reach communities of Kharkiv Oblast” has been completed in frontline communities of Kharkiv Oblast.
The project covered Balakliia Hromada (Shevelivka village) and Izium Hromada (Levkivka village) and was aimed at supporting households most affected by the armed conflict.
Within the project, 418 people received cash assistance, representing more than 170 households. The total amount of assistance exceeded UAH 4 million. Support was provided in the form of multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) and amounted to UAH 10,800 per person. This approach allowed households to independently determine their priority needs and allocate funds to cover basic expenses, including food, medicines, utility payments and other critically important needs.
The project was implemented by Responsible Citizens NGO in partnership with Acted Ukraine with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund / OCHA Ukraine.
The implementation of the initiative ensured timely and flexible financial support for the most vulnerable population groups, contributing to strengthening their ability to adapt to difficult conditions in frontline communities.
