Strengthening partnerships: discussing changes and achievements in social services in 2024
Oksana Ivantina, Regional Coordinator of the NGO “Responsible Citizens,” participated in an event for UNICEF implementation partners, which became a key platform for discussing achievements and changes in social services for children and families in 2024. The event also provided an opportunity to define future priorities, focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable groups of the population.
For over a year, the NGO “Responsible Citizens” has been implementing a large-scale program to provide psychosocial support, protection, and educational services to families with children affected by the war. The organization works in the most challenging conditions, including in frontline regions of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. The team ensures access to vital social services, psychological, and reintegration assistance for families with children.
Oksana Ivantina emphasized: “Working in communities near the front line gives a clear understanding: every child deserves protection and care, regardless of the circumstances. Participation in such events is not only an opportunity to share achievements but also a chance to gain new ideas that will help us act effectively. Thanks to our partnership with UNICEF, we are strengthening intersectoral cooperation, uniting the efforts of communities, the state, and international organizations.”
Despite all the challenges, NGO “Responsible Citizens” continues working to create a safe and caring environment for every child, providing hope and support even in the most difficult circumstances.
