Project “SOS Children. Emergency Assistance Program” in Kharkiv Region
The public organization Responsible Citizens has implemented the “SOS Children. Emergency Assistance Program” project to support families with children affected by the conflict in the Kharkiv region.
Eligible recipients of this assistance include:
- Single parents;
- Foster families, family-type children’s homes, guardian families, and patronage families;
- Families with children temporarily placed by the Department of Children’s Services (SSSD);
- Families with children facing difficult life circumstances and impacted by the war;
- Large families experiencing challenging life circumstances;
- Families with children who have disabilities and special educational needs;
- Children who have lost parents or guardians due to the war;
- Families with children with chronic or severe illnesses;
- Families where at least one parent has a disability;
- Pregnant women.
This project was implemented with the support of SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine and the global cosmetic leader, L’Oréal Group. It includes the provision of food, hygiene, and medical kits for families.
Additionally, the project will cover 50 individual family requests up to 2,000 UAH each, which may go toward medical services, equipment, or medications for children with disabilities.
