First training in 2025: Practical knowledge for effectively addressing individual needs
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” successfully conducted the first training of the year on the topic: “Meeting Individual Needs – From a Sense of Safety to Conflict Mitigation.”
This educational event brought together representatives from education, social services, psychologists, and specialists from public organizations across Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions. Participants explored effective techniques and practices to identify children’s needs, facilitate their fulfillment, and prevent conflicts in school and family environments.
Key outcomes included:
✔️ Developing skills to identify needs and tools for their realization.
✔️ Raising awareness of the importance of understanding personal demands for professional and personal growth.
✔️ Creating methods to build trustful dialogue with children and parents.
A distinctive feature of this training was the growing interest from representatives of various sectors, including public organizations and specialized professionals. This highlights the relevance of the topic and its impact on professionals working with communities under the challenging conditions of war in frontline areas.
📌 The Coordinator of Educational Programs at the NGO “Responsible Citizens,” Olena Bieloliptseva, stated:
“Understanding individual needs is the foundation of healthy communication, especially in conditions of stress and instability. We see how important it is to equip professionals with tools to work with children and families, as well as to help them recognize their own needs. This year, we note an increase in training participants from public organizations, psychologists, and management staff of educational institutions, which gives us confidence in the broad dissemination of the acquired knowledge locally.”
🔴 The training took place as part of the project “Strengthening Community Capacity to Provide Essential Protection and Resilience Services in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Regions,” implemented with the support of UNICEF Ukraine and financial assistance from USAID – US Agency for International Development.
