Crucial support: stories of people who received assistance during the war
As part of the multipurpose cash assistance project, the NGO “Responsible Citizens,” together with partners, has helped hundreds of people affected by the war. Behind each case is a story of pain and loss, and behind every application are personal needs that remain invisible to others but are vital to those affected. This direct cash assistance was provided precisely when people needed it most. It not only helps them survive but also preserves their dignity.
“We believe that this approach is not just humanitarian aid but a smart solution for supporting and developing communities. People can independently determine their priorities, spending the money in local stores, thus supporting the economy of their communities. This project unites people and their needs, giving them the tools to rebuild their lives in times of uncertainty,” said Enrique Menendez, co-founder and program director of the NGO “Responsible Citizens.”

This project was implemented with the support of World Vision International, Acted, USAID, and the #UkrainianResponseConsortium.
