Charity festival “Dnipro. All Our Own”: Uniting to support children and families in Dnipro
Dnipro hosted the charity festival “Dnipro. All Our Own,” which brought together civil society organizations, charitable foundations, entrepreneurs, and city residents around an important goal — helping internally displaced persons (IDPs) and families that include people with disabilities. The festival fostered an atmosphere of support, mutual assistance, and hope, which is especially important in today’s circumstances.
The NGO “Responsible Citizens” actively joined the initiative by organizing art therapy and creative workshops for children. Young participants had the opportunity to draw, sculpt, create handmade crafts, and simply interact in a warm, safe environment. These activities helped children relax, express their emotions, and make new friends — a crucial step for psychological recovery after the challenges they have faced. Meanwhile, parents received advice from specialists on supporting children in difficult times, as well as information on available assistance programs.
Such events are an integral part of our ongoing work in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Every day, we support families with children through mobile teams that travel to remote areas, as well as in special child-friendly spaces. These initiatives aim to ensure development, socialization, and safety for every child, regardless of circumstances. We believe that even in the face of challenges such as war and displacement, children deserve a happy childhood. Through our programs, thousands of families have already received vital support — from psychological assistance to educational materials and basic necessities.
The “Dnipro. All Our Own” festival initiative was implemented by the charitable foundation “Pomagaem” within the framework of the “Fundraising Academy” project by People in Need Ukraine. This collaboration demonstrates how joint efforts can amplify the impact of humanitarian work and create sustainable change in the community.
