The NGO Responsible Citizens has joined the implementation of the Berehynia project

As part of the Consortium of the Joint Initiative for the Protection of Frontline Areas, together with Corus International, the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health “Right to Health” (HealthRight International) in Ukraine, the NGO League of Modern Women, and with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, we are working to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most as quickly as possible.

Within the framework of the project, our team will be responsible for several key areas:

  • providing cash assistance to vulnerable households, people who have been forced to evacuate, and people living within 0–50 km of the frontline;
  • providing psychosocial support to children and families;
  • raising awareness of child protection risks and available services;
  • operating mobile teams for gender-based violence response and case management.

As part of the project, six mobile teams specializing in child protection and gender-based violence response will operate, along with four mobile teams responsible for the registration and implementation of cash assistance programmes.

The project will cover the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. Assistance will be provided to people living near the frontline, older people living alone, people with disabilities, large families, single parents, and other highly vulnerable households.

Behind every support programme are not just numbers and indicators. They represent people who have lost their homes, their familiar way of life, and their sense of security. That is why, for us, this project is first and foremost about dignity, care, and helping people get through the most difficult period without facing it alone.

We are grateful to our partners for their trust and cooperation. Many challenges lie ahead, but we are convinced that only by joining forces can we create solutions that truly change people’s lives.
