Systematic Support for Families with Children
In partnership with UNICEF, Responsible Citizens NGO continues to strengthen family support by combining practical assistance to communities with professional training for social sector specialists.
In Zaporizhzhia, a specialized two-day training was held for child protection service workers from the city and region. The event was organized by Responsible Citizens NGO as part of its systematic work to promote family-based care.
The training aimed to enhance professional competencies in integrating children into foster families and family-type homes. The program was built on international standards and proven practices.
During the sessions, participants deepened their understanding of children’s individual needs, learned approaches to emotional support, and developed skills for effective cooperation with families. Special focus was given to creating a safe, stable, and caring environment that meets the best interests of every child.
“For Responsible Citizens NGO, this training is only part of our broader systemic work. We believe that lasting change is only possible when local specialists have the knowledge, tools, and support they need. That is why we continue to organize educational initiatives for social workers — to jointly build sustainable child protection mechanisms and strengthen the role of family-based care in Ukraine,” said Olga Kosse, Chairperson of the NGO.
Systematic work, professionalism, and partnership remain the key principles of our activity. We strive to ensure that every child in Ukraine grows up in an environment of care, stability, and safety.
